Joh 4:30 Then they went out of the city and came to Him. 31 In the meantime His disciples urged Him, saying, \"Rabbi, eat.\" 32 But He said to them, \"I have food to eat of which you do not know.\" 33 Therefore the disciples said to one another, \"Has anyone brought Him anything to eat?\" 34 Jesus said to them, \"My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work. 35 \"Do you not say, \'There are still four months and then comes the harvest\'? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest! 36 \"And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. 37 \"For in this the saying is true: \'One sows and another reaps.\' 38 \"I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labors.\" 39 And many of the Samaritans of that city believed in Him because of the word of the woman who testified, \"He told me all that I ever did.\" 40 So when the Samaritans had come to Him, they urged Him to stay with them; and He stayed there two days. 41 And many more believed because of His own word.

And finding some disciples 2 he said to them, \"Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?\" So they said to him, \"We have not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit.\" 3 And he said to them, \"Into what then were you baptized?\" So they said, \"Into John\'s baptism.\" 4 Then Paul said, \"John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.\" 5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6 And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied. 7 Now the men were about twelve in all.

Joh 4:9 Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, \"How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?\" For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans. 10 Jesus answered and said to her, \"If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, \'Give Me a drink,\' you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.\" 11 The woman said to Him, \"Sir, You have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do You get that living water? 12 \"Are You greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, as well as his sons and his livestock?\" 13 Jesus answered and said to her, \"Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, 14 \"but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.\" 15 The woman said to Him, \"Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst, nor come here to draw.\" 16 Jesus said to her, \"Go, call your husband, and come here.\" 17 The woman answered and said, \"I have no husband.\" Jesus said to her, \"You have well said, \'I have no husband,\' 18 \"for you have had five husbands, and the one whom you now have is not your husband; in that you spoke truly.\" 19 The woman said to Him, \"Sir, I perceive that You are a prophet. 20 \"Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, and you Jews say that in Jerusalem is the place where one ought to worship.\" 21 Jesus said to her, \"Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father. 22 \"You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. 23 \"But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. 24 \"God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.\" 25 The woman said to Him, \"I know that Messiah is coming\" (who is called Christ). \"When He comes, He will tell us all things.\" 26 Jesus said to her, \"I who speak to you am He.\" 27 %uFFFD And at this point His disciples came, and they marveled that He talked with a woman; yet no one said, \"What do You seek?\" or, \"Why are You talking with her?\" 28 The woman then left her waterpot, went her way into the city, and said to the men, 29 \"Come, see a Man who told me all things that I ever did. Could this be the Christ?\"

Ac 18:18 � So Paul still remained a good while. Then he took leave of the brethren and sailed for Syria, and Priscilla and Aquila were with him. He had his hair cut off at Cenchrea, for he had taken a vow. 19 And he came to Ephesus, and left them there; but he himself entered the synagogue and reasoned with the Jews. 20 When they asked him to stay a longer time with them, he did not consent, 21 but took leave of them, saying, \"I must by all means keep this coming feast in Jerusalem; but I will return again to you, God willing.\" And he sailed from Ephesus. 22 And when he had landed at Caesarea, and gone up and greeted the church, he went down to Antioch. 23 After he had spent some time there, he departed and went over the region of Galatia and Phrygia in order, strengthening all the disciples. 24 � Now a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man and mighty in the Scriptures, came to Ephesus. 25 This man had been instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in spirit, he spoke and taught accurately the things of the Lord, though he knew only the baptism of John. 26 So he began to speak boldly in the synagogue. When Aquila and Priscilla heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately. 27 And when he desired to cross to Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting the disciples to receive him; and when he arrived, he greatly helped those who had believed through grace; 28 for he vigorously refuted the Jews publicly, showing from the Scriptures that Jesus is the Christ.

Joh 4:1 � Therefore, when the Lord knew that the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John 2 (though Jesus Himself did not baptize, but His disciples), 3 He left Judea and departed again to Galilee. 4 � But He needed to go through Samaria. 5 So He came to a city of Samaria which is called Sychar, near the plot of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph. 6 Now Jacob\'s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied from His journey, sat thus by the well. It was about the sixth hour. 7 A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Ac 18:1 � After these things Paul departed from Athens and went to Corinth. 2 And he found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, who had recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla (because Claudius had commanded all the Jews to depart from Rome); and he came to them. 3 So, because he was of the same trade, he stayed with them and worked; for by occupation they were tentmakers. 4 And he reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath, and persuaded both Jews and Greeks. 5 When Silas and Timothy had come from Macedonia, Paul was compelled by the Spirit, and testified to the Jews that Jesus is the Christ. 6 But when they opposed him and blasphemed, he shook his garments and said to them, \"Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean. From now on I will go to the Gentiles.\" 7 � And he departed from there and entered the house of a certain man named Justus, one who worshiped God, whose house was next door to the synagogue. 8 Then Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue, believed on the Lord with all his household. And many of the Corinthians, hearing, believed and were baptized. 9 Now the Lord spoke to Paul in the night by a vision, \"Do not be afraid, but speak, and do not keep silent; 10 \"for I am with you, and no one will attack you to hurt you; for I have many people in this city.\" 11 And he continued there a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them. 12 � When Gallio was proconsul of Achaia, the Jews with one accord rose up against Paul and brought him to the judgment seat, 13 saying, \"This fellow persuades men to worship God contrary to the law.\" 14 And when Paul was about to open his mouth, Gallio said to the Jews, \"If it were a matter of wrongdoing or wicked crimes, O Jews, there would be reason why I should bear with you. 15 \"But if it is a question of words and names and your own law, look to it yourselves; for I do not want to be a judge of such matters.\" 16 And he drove them from the judgment seat. 17 Then all the Greeks took Sosthenes, the ruler of the synagogue, and beat him before the judgment seat. But Gallio took no notice of these things.

And they came and were baptized. 24 For John had not yet been thrown into prison. 25 Then there arose a dispute between some of John\'s disciples and the Jews about purification. 26 And they came to John and said to him, \"Rabbi, He who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have testified--behold, He is baptizing, and all are coming to Him!\" 27 John answered and said, \"A man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven. 28 \"You yourselves bear me witness, that I said, \'I am not the Christ,\' but, \'I have been sent before Him.\' 29 \"He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom\'s voice. Therefore this joy of mine is fulfilled. 30 \"He must increase, but I must decrease. 31 \"He who comes from above is above all; he who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all. 32 \"And what He has seen and heard, that He testifies; and no one receives His testimony. 33 \"He who has received His testimony has certified that God is true. 34 \"For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure. 35 \"The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand. 36 \"He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.\"

Joh 3:1 � There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. 2 This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, \"Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.\" 3 Jesus answered and said to him, \"Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.\" 4 Nicodemus said to Him, \"How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother\'s womb and be born?\" 5 Jesus answered, \"Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 \"That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 \"Do not marvel that I said to you, \'You must be born again.\' 8 \"The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.\" 9 Nicodemus answered and said to Him, \"How can these things be?\" 10 Jesus answered and said to him, \"Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things? 11 \"Most assuredly, I say to you, We speak what We know and testify what We have seen, and you do not receive Our witness. 12 \"If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things? 13 \"No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven. 14 \"And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 \"that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. 16 \"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 \"For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. 18 \"He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 \"And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 \"For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. 21 \"But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.\"

Ac 17:16 � Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was provoked within him when he saw that the city was given over to idols. 17 Therefore he reasoned in the synagogue with the Jews and with the Gentile worshipers, and in the marketplace daily with those who happened to be there. 18 Then certain Epicurean and Stoic philosophers encountered him. And some said, \"What does this babbler want to say?\" Others said, \"He seems to be a proclaimer of foreign gods,\" because he preached to them Jesus and the resurrection. 19 And they took him and brought him to the Areopagus, saying, \"May we know what this new doctrine is of which you speak? 20 \"For you are bringing some strange things to our ears. Therefore we want to know what these things mean.\" 21 For all the Athenians and the foreigners who were there spent their time in nothing else but either to tell or to hear some new thing. 22 � Then Paul stood in the midst of the Areopagus and said, \"Men of Athens, I perceive that in all things you are very religious; 23 \"for as I was passing through and considering the objects of your worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Therefore, the One whom you worship without knowing, Him I proclaim to you: 24 \"God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. 25 \"Nor is He worshiped with men\'s hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. 26 \"And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, 27 \"so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; 28 \"for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, \'For we are also His offspring.\' 29 \"Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man\'s devising. 30 \"Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, 31 \"because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.\" 32 � And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked, while others said, \"We will hear you again on this matter.\" 33 So Paul departed from among them. 34 However, some men joined him and believed, among them Dionysius the Areopagite, a woman named Damaris, and others with them.

Joh 2:13 Now the Passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 14 And He found in the temple those who sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the moneychangers doing business. 15 When He had made a whip of cords, He drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen, and poured out the changers\' money and overturned the tables. 16 And He said to those who sold doves, \"Take these things away! Do not make My Father\'s house a house of merchandise!\" 17 Then His disciples remembered that it was written, \"Zeal for Your house has eaten Me up.\" 18 So the Jews answered and said to Him, \"What sign do You show to us, since You do these things?\" 19 Jesus answered and said to them, \"Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.\" 20 Then the Jews said, \"It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will You raise it up in three days?\" 21 But He was speaking of the temple of His body. 22 Therefore, when He had risen from the dead, His disciples remembered that He had said this to them; and they believed the Scripture and the word which Jesus had said. 23 � Now when He was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in His name when they saw the signs which He did. 24 But Jesus did not commit Himself to them, because He knew all men, 25 and had no need that anyone should testify of man, for He knew what was in man.

Ac 17:1 � Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where there was a synagogue of the Jews. 2 Then Paul, as his custom was, went in to them, and for three Sabbaths reasoned with them from the Scriptures, 3 explaining and demonstrating that the Christ had to suffer and rise again from the dead, and saying, \"This Jesus whom I preach to you is the Christ.\" 4 And some of them were persuaded; and a great multitude of the devout Greeks, and not a few of the leading women, joined Paul and Silas. 5 But the Jews who were not persuaded, becoming envious, took some of the evil men from the marketplace, and gathering a mob, set all the city in an uproar and attacked the house of Jason, and sought to bring them out to the people. 6 But when they did not find them, they dragged Jason and some brethren to the rulers of the city, crying out, \"These who have turned the world upside down have come here too. 7 \"Jason has harbored them, and these are all acting contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying there is another king--Jesus.\" 8 And they troubled the crowd and the rulers of the city when they heard these things. 9 So when they had taken security from Jason and the rest, they let them go. 10 � Then the brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea. When they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews. 11 These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so. 12 Therefore many of them believed, and also not a few of the Greeks, prominent women as well as men. 13 But when the Jews from Thessalonica learned that the word of God was preached by Paul at Berea, they came there also and stirred up the crowds. 14 Then immediately the brethren sent Paul away, to go to the sea; but both Silas and Timothy remained there. 15 So those who conducted Paul brought him to Athens; and receiving a command for Silas and Timothy to come to him with all speed, they departed.

Joh 2:1 � On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. 2 Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding. 3 And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, \"They have no wine.\" 4 Jesus said to her, \"Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come.\" 5 His mother said to the servants, \"Whatever He says to you, do it.\" 6 Now there were set there six waterpots of stone, according to the manner of purification of the Jews, containing twenty or thirty gallons apiece. 7 Jesus said to them, \"Fill the waterpots with water.\" And they filled them up to the brim. 8 And He said to them, \"Draw some out now, and take it to the master of the feast.\" And they took it. 9 When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom. 10 And he said to him, \"Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!\" 11 This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him. 12 � After this He went down to Capernaum, He, His mother, His brothers, and His disciples; and they did not stay there many days.

Joh 1:35 Again, the next day, John stood with two of his disciples. 36 And looking at Jesus as He walked, he said, \"Behold the Lamb of God!\" 37 %uFFFD The two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus. 38 Then Jesus turned, and seeing them following, said to them, \"What do you seek?\" They said to Him, \"Rabbi\" (which is to say, when translated, Teacher), \"where are You staying?\" 39 He said to them, \"Come and see.\" They came and saw where He was staying, and remained with Him that day (now it was about the tenth hour). 40 One of the two who heard John speak, and followed Him, was Andrew, Simon Peter\'s brother. 41 He first found his own brother Simon, and said to him, \"We have found the Messiah\" (which is translated, the Christ). 42 And he brought him to Jesus. Now when Jesus looked at him, He said, \"You are Simon the son of Jonah. You shall be called Cephas\" (which is translated, A Stone). 43 %uFFFD The following day Jesus wanted to go to Galilee, and He found Philip and said to him, \"Follow Me.\" 44 Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter. 45 Philip found Nathanael and said to him, \"We have found Him of whom Moses in the law, and also the prophets, wrote--Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.\" 46 And Nathanael said to him, \"Can anything good come out of Nazareth?\" Philip said to him, \"Come and see.\" 47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward Him, and said of him, \"Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit!\" 48 Nathanael said to Him, \"How do You know me?\" Jesus answered and said to him, \"Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.\" 49 Nathanael answered and said to Him, \"Rabbi, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!\" 50 Jesus answered and said to him, \"Because I said to you, \'I saw you under the fig tree,\' do you believe? You will see greater things than these.\" 51 And He said to him, \"Most assuredly, I say to you, hereafter you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man.\"

Ac 16:25 � But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. 26 Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone\'s chains were loosed. 27 And the keeper of the prison, awaking from sleep and seeing the prison doors open, supposing the prisoners had fled, drew his sword and was about to kill himself. 28 But Paul called with a loud voice, saying, \"Do yourself no harm, for we are all here.\" 29 Then he called for a light, ran in, and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas. 30 And he brought them out and said, \"Sirs, what must I do to be saved?\" 31 So they said, \"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.\" 32 Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house. 33 And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their stripes. And immediately he and all his family were baptized. 34 Now when he had brought them into his house, he set food before them; and he rejoiced, having believed in God with all his household. 35 � And when it was day, the magistrates sent the officers, saying, \"Let those men go.\" 36 So the keeper of the prison reported these words to Paul, saying, \"The magistrates have sent to let you go. Now therefore depart, and go in peace.\" 37 But Paul said to them, \"They have beaten us openly, uncondemned Romans, and have thrown us into prison. And now do they put us out secretly? No indeed! Let them come themselves and get us out.\" 38 And the officers told these words to the magistrates, and they were afraid when they heard that they were Romans. 39 Then they came and pleaded with them and brought them out, and asked them to depart from the city. 40 So they went out of the prison and entered the house of Lydia; and when they had seen the brethren, they encouraged them and departed.

A man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him, saying, \"Come over to Macedonia and help us.\" 10 Now after he had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the gospel to them. 11 Therefore, sailing from Troas, we ran a straight course to Samothrace, and the next day came to Neapolis, 12 and from there to Philippi, which is the foremost city of that part of Macedonia, a colony. And we were staying in that city for some days.

For to this day I have not found evil in you since the day of your coming to me. And as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed. 49 And the word of the Lord was being spread throughout all the region. 50 But the Jews stirred up the devout and prominent women and the chief men of the city, raised up persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them from their region. 51 But they shook off the dust from their feet against them, and came to Iconium. 52 And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.

1Sa 28:1 � Now it happened in those days that the Philistines gathered their armies together for war, to fight with Israel. And Achish said to David, \"You assuredly know that you will go out with me to battle, you and your men.\" 2 And David said to Achish, \"Surely you know what your servant can do.\" And Achish said to David, \"Therefore I will make you one of my chief guardians forever.\" 3 Now Samuel had died, and all Israel had lamented for him and buried him in Ramah, in his own city. And Saul had put the mediums and the spiritists out of the land. 4 Then the Philistines gathered together, and came and encamped at Shunem. So Saul gathered all Israel together, and they encamped at Gilboa. 5 When Saul saw the army of the Philistines, he was afraid, and his heart trembled greatly. 6 And when Saul inquired of the LORD, the LORD did not answer him, either by dreams or by Urim or by the prophets. 7 � Then Saul said to his servants, \"Find me a woman who is a medium, that I may go to her and inquire of her.\" And his servants said to him, \"In fact, there is a woman who is a medium at En Dor.\" 8 So Saul disguised himself and put on other clothes, and he went, and two men with him; and they came to the woman by night. And he said, \"Please conduct a seance for me, and bring up for me the one I shall name to you.\" 9 Then the woman said to him, \"Look, you know what Saul has done, how he has cut off the mediums and the spiritists from the land. Why then do you lay a snare for my life, to cause me to die?\" 10 And Saul swore to her by the LORD, saying, \"As the LORD lives, no punishment shall come upon you for this thing.\" 11 Then the woman said, \"Whom shall I bring up for you?\" And he said, \"Bring up Samuel for me.\" 12 When the woman saw Samuel, she cried out with a loud voice. And the woman spoke to Saul, saying, \"Why have you deceived me? For you are Saul!\" 13 And the king said to her, \"Do not be afraid. What did you see?\" And the woman said to Saul, \"I saw a spirit ascending out of the earth.\" 14 So he said to her, \"What is his form?\" And she said, \"An old man is coming up, and he is covered with a mantle.\" And Saul perceived that it was Samuel, and he stooped with his face to the ground and bowed down. 15 � Now Samuel said to Saul, \"Why have you disturbed me by bringing me up?\" And Saul answered, \"I am deeply distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God has departed from me and does not answer me anymore, neither by prophets nor by dreams. Therefore I have called you, that you may reveal to me what I should do.\" 16 Then Samuel said: \"Why then do you ask me, seeing the LORD has departed from you and has become your enemy? 17 \"And the LORD has done for Himself as He spoke by me. For the LORD has torn the kingdom out of your hand and given it to your neighbor, David. 18 \"Because you did not obey the voice of the LORD nor execute His fierce wrath upon Amalek, therefore the LORD has done this thing to you this day. 19 \"Moreover the LORD will also deliver Israel with you into the hand of the Philistines. And tomorrow you and your sons will be with me. The LORD will also deliver the army of Israel into the hand of the Philistines.\" 20 � Then immediately Saul fell full length on the ground, and was dreadfully afraid because of the words of Samuel. And there was no strength in him, for he had eaten no food all day or all night. 21 And the woman came to Saul and saw that he was severely troubled, and said to him, \"Look, your maidservant has obeyed your voice, and I have put my life in my hands and heeded the words which you spoke to me. 22 \"Now therefore, please, heed also the voice of your maidservant, and let me set a piece of bread before you; and eat, that you may have strength when you go on your way.\" 23 But he refused and said, \"I will not eat.\" So his servants, together with the woman, urged him; and he heeded their voice. Then he arose from the ground and sat on the bed. 24 Now the woman had a fatted calf in the house, and she hastened to kill it. And she took flour and kneaded it, and baked unleavened bread from it. 25 So she brought it before Saul and his servants, and they ate. Then they rose and went away that night.

Ac 13:11 \"And now, indeed, the hand of the Lord is upon you, and you shall be blind, not seeing the sun for a time.\" And immediately a dark mist fell on him, and he went around seeking someone to lead him by the hand. 12 Then the proconsul believed, when he saw what had been done, being astonished at the teaching of the Lord. 13 Now when Paul and his party set sail from Paphos, they came to Perga in Pamphylia; and John, departing from them, returned to Jerusalem. 14 � But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day and sat down. 15 And after the reading of the Law and the Prophets, the rulers of the synagogue sent to them, saying, \"Men and brethren, if you have any word of exhortation for the people, say on.\" 16 Then Paul stood up, and motioning with his hand said, \"Men of Israel, and you who fear God, listen: 17 \"The God of this people Israel chose our fathers, and exalted the people when they dwelt as strangers in the land of Egypt, and with an uplifted arm He brought them out of it. 18 \"Now for a time of about forty years He put up with their ways in the wilderness. 19 \"And when He had destroyed seven nations in the land of Canaan, He distributed their land to them by allotment. 20 \"After that He gave them judges for about four hundred and fifty years, until Samuel the prophet. 21 \"And afterward they asked for a king; so God gave them Saul the son of Kish, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, for forty years. 22 \"And when He had removed him, He raised up for them David as king, to whom also He gave testimony and said, \'I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will.\'
